Margaret G. Barao

Attorney Margaret Barao earned her J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law, where she concentrated in Trusts and Estates. She received a Bachelor’s degree in history from Wellesley College. Margaret is admitted to the Massachusetts bar. She enjoys providing pro-bono consultations to the elder communities of the Upper Cape, and volunteers are the Senior Centers of that region on a monthly basis. Margaret is the Treasurer of the Wellesley College Club of Cape Cod. Prior to attending Suffolk University Law School, Margaret worked in the financial services sector, and was a Special Education teacher, and brings these additional experiences and perspectives to her law practice.

Margaret joined Patricia Mello & Associates, P.C. in 2011. She represents clients in matters involving estate planning, planning for long-term care, special needs planning, guardianship and conservatorship proceedings, probate administration and Medicaid applications and appeals. Margaret especially enjoys working with families to develop tailored estate plans to meet their unique needs and circumstances.

When she is not practicing law, Margaret enjoys reading, basketball and spending time with her dogs.
